Activity 1: Helped plan and implement an End-of-Year (E.O.Y.) activity with the specials team and dean.

• Date: June 15, 2024

• Alignment with Standard: This activity aligns with ELCC Standard 4.3 by fostering positive relationships with families and caregivers through the planning and implementation of a school-wide End-of-Year (E.O.Y.) activity. Collaborating with the specials team and the dean, this event was designed to celebrate the achievements of students and provide an opportunity for families to engage with the school community. By involving parents and caregivers in this celebratory event, the school strengthens its connections with the community, responds to their interests and needs, and promotes a supportive and inclusive school culture.

  • Event Planning Documents: Detailed plans outlining the objectives, schedule, and logistics for the E.O.Y. activity, demonstrating the collaborative planning process.

  • Invitations and Announcements: Communications sent to families and caregivers to invite them to the event, including flyers, emails, and social media posts.

  • Feedback Forms: Completed feedback forms from attendees, providing insights into their experiences and suggestions for future school events.

Activity 2: Planned S.T.E.A.M. Fair.

• Date: May 21, 2024

• Alignment with Standard: This activity involved planning and organizing a S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Fair, aligning with ELCC Standard 4.3 by building positive relationships with families and caregivers through meaningful engagement in educational activities. The S.T.E.A.M. Fair provided an interactive platform for students to showcase their projects and for families to participate in hands-on learning experiences. By engaging families in this educational event, the school responds to community interests in promoting STEM education and creates an inclusive environment where caregivers are active partners in the educational process.
